Where is the community located, and what nearby landmarks or attractions are close by?

The property is located in Southwest Lake Charles in between Nelson and Lake Street. The community sits in between AA Nelson Elementary and Lake Area Adventures.

What floor plan options are available, and what is the average size of each apartment?

There are 5 different floorplans at Watervue. The Augustine (651sqft) one bedroom, The Acadiana (807sqft) one bedroom, The Belle (985 sqft) two bedroom, The Prien (1086 sqft) two bedroom, and the Calcasieu (1362 sqft) three bedroom.

Do you offer furnished or short-term lease options?

We do not offer furnished units but we do offer short term lease with a monthly premium.

Are pets welcome at the community, and what is your pet policy?

Yes. There is no weight limit. $300.00 non refundable pet fee & a $20.00 mthly pet rent. Breed restrictions- use Paws Pet Screening for screening of pets.

How convenient is commuting from the community to major employers, schools, or downtown areas?

The community is conveniently located in Lake Charles.

What amenities are offered on-site (such as pool, fitness center, clubhouse, or coworking space)?

Swimming pool, Outdoor grilling area, Fitness center, Business center, Pet Park, Two Ponds with a dock.

What parking options are available, including garages, guest parking, or EV charging stations?

Parking is not assigned. Garages are available to rent which include detached garages for $75 and attached garages that range from $100-$125.

Are there laundry facilities in the units or on-site?

All homes include washer and dryer.

Are utilities included in the rent, and which services are residents responsible for?

The residents are responsible for electricity which they would pay directly to Entergy. We bill a monthly service fee a flat rate which covers water, pest control, trash, and sewer. 1 Bdr- $25, 2 Bdr-$30, 3 Bdr- $35.

Do apartments include modern appliances, patios/balconies, or extra storage space?

All black appliances, personal Patio/Balcony, Additional storage on the patio or balcony, 10" ceilings on the 1st floor and 9" ceilings on the 2nd and 3rd floors, Subway- Tiled Kitchen backsplashes, Large Walk in closets, Ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms and the living room, Ergonomic soaking tub.

What’s the neighborhood like, and what restaurants, parks, and shopping centers are nearby?

The neighborhood is a combination of growing businesses in Lake Charles Charles, Multiunit housing, schools, and right next door to the Terrance a restaurant attached to Lake Area Adventures.

What is the walkability and public transportation access around the community?

The property is close to a public bus stop on Country Club Road in the Market Basket Parking lot.

Are there local events, resident activities, or community gatherings available?

We enjoy hosting community resident events throughout the year, as well as sharing local events our residents would enjoy.

How can I apply for an apartment, and what documents or fees are required?

An invitation is typically sent during the quoting process. The application fee is $65.00, and the admin fee is $150.00. During the application process the applicant is prompted to upload proof of income. The entire process in completed electronically.

What are the move-in costs, and is a security deposit required?

Move-in costs at Watervue are clear and easy to understand. At move-in, residents pay prorated rent based on the move-in date, along with the standard security deposit determined by credit approval. If applicable, pet fees and monthly pet rent are also due.

Is renters’ insurance mandatory, and what coverage is recommended?

Policies must include a minimum of $300,000 in personal liability coverage, list all leaseholders and occupants on the policy, and name Watervue Apartments as the interested party. Proof of coverage is required prior to move-in and must be maintained throughout the lease term to ensure compliance and peace of mind for everyone.

What happens if I need to move out early or break my lease?

We require a 60 day notice to vacte. Early termination fees may apply.

How do I submit maintenance requests, and how quickly are they typically resolved?

Residents are encouraged to submit requests through the resident portal, which allows the service team to track and respond efficiently. Requests can also be made by contacting the leasing office directly. Most maintenance items are addressed within 24–48 hours, and emergency maintenance support is available at all times to ensure resident comfort and safety.
